Facing 2015 with Intention – Reason #12

Intention [in-ten-shuh n] (noun)

1. an act or instance of determining mentally upon some action or result.

2.  the end or object intended; purpose.

Today is January 1, 2015.  You are likely filled with intention by setting resolutions for the new year.  How long will that intention last?  Do you think you’ll have as much determination to lose weight, spend more time with loved ones, or check another item off of your bucket list, by around January 29, 2015?
Statistics show that only 64% of those who begin on January 1st with intention to complete a goal are still at it on February 1st.
By July 1st, only 46% are still taking action with intention toward the desired result.   Sadly, only 8% of individuals who set resolutions at the first of the year actually succeed in reaching them.
I have a new book out titled, SELF Centered Leadership: Becoming Influential, Intentional and Exceptional.  It is available in paperback and Kindle on Amazon.com.
I describe how opportunities to lead are very different from leading with INTENTION.  I explain that the ONLY way to become an exceptional leader is by leading with INTENTION.  Learning to lead with intention is reason 12 of 30 reasons to read my book.
I hope you’ll buy it with the INTENTION to read it!  I hope you’ll read it with the INTENTION of becoming EXCEPTIONAL!
Have a very happy, intentional new year!

Overcoming Regrets: Reason #26 for Reading SELF Centered Leadership

On this day before Thanksgiving here in America, I thought it appropriate to talk about a nemesis of gratitude.  Regret.

Corn and wheat

We all have regrets.  Although regret tends to be a negative-energy emotion, it can inspire change.

In my book, SELF Centered Leadership: Becoming Influential, Intentional and Exceptional, I tell you about my greatest regret.

The story has to do with friends and bullies; protection and victimization; courage and fear.  Perhaps it will inspire you.

Have you missed reasons 27 through 30 in my countdown?

Reason #30: How to prepare for, and survive an ODYSSEY

Reason #29: How to spot the IMITATION

Reason #28: How to use an APP to make tough decisions

Reason #27: How to Apply The Three P’s of Empowerment

Have a Happy Thanksgiving!  Be grateful for your challenges – they form your character and inspire growth!
